2001 Yquem...excellent wine, but short of expectations

I expected the 2001 Yquem to be the best wine ever! Yes, my expectations were very high, but after tasting the 2001 Rieussec and the 2001 Suduiraut, and having tasted other vintages of Yquem, can you blame me? I found the 2001 Yquem as an excellent wine, but not markedly better than the 2001 Rieussec and the 2001 Suduiraut, and certainly not as good as the 2009 Yquem. Perhaps, with more age, this will change....will reserve judgement for now!
